Dear Friends of Pop’s,
We would like to express our thanks to all of you who helped Pop Merrigan’s over the past year through your hard work and your patronage. We have met, worked with and served many fine people during our initial run in Jersey City.
The difficulties we fought to overcome, left to us as the legacy of Side by Side Bar and Grill and the ongoing struggle to keep Pop Merrigan’s core, our family in Jersey City is far from over. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you as we work to relocate Pops.
Thanks to the Jersey City Police Department and our friends at PJ Ryan’s for their kind words and continuing support, and to our loyal staff and friends. Thanks are in order for our “Un-Paralleled” beer distributor and “United” liquor distributor for their constant assistance and support…we were better for you.
To the Newark Avenue Division Champion Pop Merrigan’s Softball Team, returning and new members, thanks for keeping the faith. We were proud to play and drink beside you every week. It was a great run in the playoffs and I’m positive we’ll see you all for practice over the break!
Thanks to Jersey City, from the laborers, city employees and public officials to the other Bars and Pubs. Each and every one of you helped us to bring positive change to 281 Newark Ave.
